Serves for 3.
1) 1/ 2 kg Chicken
2) 4 tsp Malvani masala
3) 1 tbsp ginger garlic and coriander leaves paste
4) 4 tbsp Oil
5) 2 chopped onion
6) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
7) Chopped coriander leaves
8) Salt to taste
Ingredients to prepare Masala paste:
1) 1 Cup grated fresh coconut
2) 1/2 cup grated dry coconut
3) 2 sliced onion
4) 1/2 tsp poppy seeds
5) 3-4 black paper
How to prepare Chicken:
Cut Chicken in 1 inch pieces.
In a mixing bowl take chicken add malvani masala, turmeric powder, salt and keep aside.
To prepare masala paste heat 2 tsp oil add sliced onion and saute until translucent.
Add poppy seeds, black paper and grated dry coconut and saute for a minute.
Add grated fresh coconut and saute until little brown.
Remove from heat and keep aside to cool completely.
Take mixture into mixer jar and grind it to the fine paste.
Heat oil in vessel add chopped onion and saute until translucent.
Add chicken and saute for atleast 10 minutes, it will change the colour.
Hold the vessel in cloth and toss the chicken.
Put lid or plate on it add some water on lid or plate and lets cook the chicken, on low flame for at least 25-30 minutes.
Add masala paste and mix well and let it cook for another 10 minutes.
Once again mix and check the taste and if required adjust salt and masala as per your taste.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
You can also serve sol kadhi after having chicken it will taste awesome.
