Kombadi Vade

Serves for 2.


1) 1/2 cup urad dal

2) 1 Cup Rice flour

3) 1/4 cup gram flour

4) 1 tsp coriander seeds

5) 1/2 tbsp methi seeds

6) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

7) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder

8) Oil to deep fry

9) Hot water

10) Salt to taste




Wash and soak urad dal for atleast 6 minutes or overnight.

Drain water and grind to make fine paste.

Mix coriander seeds and methi seeds and grind to a fine powder.

Take a rice flour in mixing bowl add coriander fine powder, turmeric powder,  salt to taste.

Mix well and add urad dal mixture and hot water to knead  dough.

Leave it to rest for 1 hour.

Divide  dough in small lemon sized ball.

Take one ball, apply oil on plastic paper or banana leaf pat like puri.

Heat oil for deep frying.

Deep fry each vada until it gets golden spot from both sides.

Serve hot with malvani chicken (kombdi).

You can also enjoy with sol kadi after having malvani kombdi (malvani chicken) vade.
